Girls Und Panzer is certainly one of the most active series out there when it comes to helping out the government.
Not only are they helping out the JSDF with the increase of attendance for their live-fire exercises, the girls from Oarai Girls’ Academy are also helping out the government of Ibaraki prefecture with their upcoming gubernatorial elections.
Girls Und Panzer posters will be posted in various city halls within the prefecture and some Girls Und Panzer goodies will also be distributed to voters. This is all to help increase the voter turn out for the upcoming elections for the prefecture this September 8.
Girls Und Panzer is set in the town of Oarai in Ibaraki prefecture. The anime has helped the tourism for the town (and the prefecture) grow. The anime even conducted an event in the town which included a tank exhibit by the JGSDF.
