Several lucky fans got to test out and train using the now-famous 3D Maneuver Gear, which were featured in the hit anime and manga series, Attack on Titan, during Nico Nico Chokaigi 3 which was held last weekend from April 26-27, 2014 at the Makuhari Messe Hall.
They even got to wear Survey Corps jackets as they underwent the “3D Maneuver Gear Experience Training”. They are so lucky to have gotten such an experience. They even got some help from the staff who were even cosplaying Survey Corps members.
In the anime and mangas, the 3D Maneuver Gear required a lot of balance to master and the fans who tried out this experience quickly learned that first hand during the “balance training”. Like the training in the series, those who succeeded in the balance training had a more thrilling task ahead of them: The 3D Maneuver Gear mobility challenge.
Participants of this challenge got to experience what it’s like to jump up and try to evade or kill the titans as they are strapped to a bungee cord and were lifted high up in the air. Some fans who got to try out the experience said that it was exhilarating and makes you want to try it out again. Some were just happy to even get to wear the Survey Corps jacket. One of the “trainees” even said that he will brag to his friends that he got to try on tyhe fabled 3D Maneuver Gear himself
