7 new anime we are most excited to watch in Spring 2015

With April just around the corner, we have previously taken a look at the 7 spin-off and returning anime we are most excited about watching this new Spring 2015 season, and now, we continue our Spring 2015 preview with the new anime which will also be making their premieres this April.

Spring is definitely one of the most packed seasons this year and the new anime in its roster is also something we are very much excited about. Take note that our picks will only involve NEW anime which will be premiering with their first (or only) seasons this April, so returning anime like Gintama and spin-offs like The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan are not included. After a week of deliberations, here are our seven picks:

Blood Blockade Battlefront

Sporting the blood-stained pedigree from Trigun manga creator Yasuhiro Nightow, Blood Blockade Battlefront is coming into April with a lot of hype and a lot of potential. Expect plenty of action from this supernatural action series

My Love Story/ Ore Monogatari

Since spring is often regarded as the season of love, our Spring 2015 recommendations for new anime cannot be complete without an anime from the romance genre, right? Ore Monogatari features an unexpected love story between a hulking gentle giant and a cute girl who loves to bake, and this kind of love story is just perfect for the season

Ninja Slayer from Animation

From the very animation studio which gave us Kill la Kill comes Ninja Slayer, a tale of revenge in a cyberpunk world of Neo Saitama. Trigger has been building up a whole lot of hype for this anime since 2013, and that’s not the main reason why we are excited for this one. Ninja Slayer will be featuring a whole lot of insane battles and awesome ninja action as Ninja Slayer goes through a gauntlet of evil ninjas, and we are the same kind of over-the-top action and characterizations we have previously seen in Kill la Kill.

Gunslinger Stratos

Based on the popular Square Enix video game series, Gun Slinger Stratos will not be for the weak of heart. The show has plenty of potential, however, with Gen Urobuchi writing its scenario, I wouldn’t get too attached to any of the characters. Still, the anime promises a lot of action and a good story, so it may be worth watching

Denpa Kyoushi: He is a Ultimate Teacher

One of the anime I am personally most excited for as I am a fan of the manga, Denpa Kyoushi may not come with a lot of hype as compared to some of our picks, but it does have a lot of potential. If you are a fan of characters who use their brains to win, then this one is definitely for you

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

After years of waiting, fans of the manga, as well as the live-action drama series, will finally see this series animated. Full of twists, turns, body exchanges, and a whole lot of kissing, Yamada-kun will definitely be a good watch for those who want to unwind and relax.

Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma

Prepare to get hungry while watching this one as Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma will be featuring food, lots and lots and lots of food! Undoubtedly one of the most hyped anime this season, this series will be a feast for the eyes and will also be featuring some very exciting kitchen battles you would expect from cooking shows like Iron Chef.

So what do you think of our picks for new anime for Spring 2015?
