The world of mangas is a cutthroat one where only the best survive and make it to more than 100 chapters, as some get axed even before they reach their 10th chapter. However, Kenjirou Hata’s popular comedy manga about a certain unlucky butler, Hayate the Combat Butler!, has reached yet another milestone: Chapter 500!
Weekly Shounen Sunday, which serializes Hayate the Combat Butler!, has celebrated the milestone by featuring Nagi, Hayate, and Maria on their cover. The issue also made one huge announcement as Hata-sensei will also be making a new manga series which will run alongside his popular butler manga. This means that as Hayate the Combat Butler! continues, Hata will also be doing another title at the very same time.
This new series will begin starting issue #40 of Weekly Shounen Sunday, due out on September 2, 2015 and will be released monthly, unlike Hayate the Combat Butler! which is a weekly manga. Details on this new series will be announced on issue #36/#37, which is a double issue due out on August 5.
Speaking of Kenjirou Hata, he also has another manga which has an anime adaptation this season, and the is Sore Ga Seiyuu!, an anime about voice actors, which is illustrated by himself and written and created by an actual voice actress,Masumi Asano (Hayate the Combat Butler!’s Risa, Hakufu Sonsaku from Ikki Tousen)
