It’s the one question that has frequently asked in many harem anime, who is the BEST GIRL? For the harem/ecchi anime, To Love-Ru Darkness, that question also applies, and Jump Square Magazine, which serializes the manga by Kentaro Yabuki and Seki Hasemi, has conducted an official poll concerning the series.
As the question of who is really the Best Girl varies from person to person, the poll became a bit more specific as they asked a variety of questions, and they are:
- A: Which To Love-Ru Darkness character would you want as a girlfriend/ lover/ wife?
- B: Which To Love-Ru Darkness character would you want as part of your family (not as a wife)
- C: Which To Love-Ru Darkness character would you want as a friend (but nothing more)?
- D: If the To Love-Ru Darkness heroines would form an idol group, who would be your favorite?
- E: Who would you want to switch bodies with for one day?

From the looks of things, majority of fans say that the “Best girl” award should go to Haruna, who many people want as their girlfriend/ wife/ lover. But while there is no denying Haruna’s popularity, Risa Momioka, who is not even considered by many as a main heroine, has taken the #2 spot, beating out fan favorite Yami, who topped the body-switching category.
