Fan compiles the Top 20 "Lucky Pervert" moments in anime

Ahhhhhhhh, the “Lucky Pervert”, the trope has been quite the staple for any anime for that instant fanservice scene be it for ecchi, harem, or even the occasional shounen or slice of life anime. “Lucky Pervert” often pertains to scenes where one character accidentally catches a heroine in a “lewd” or compromising situation.

One Japanese fan and blogger, Katoyuu, has compiled which anime series has the longest scenes within the first episode. He compiled it following a set of rules as explained by Crunchyroll, and they are:

• The “lucky-lewdness” moment must occur within the 1st episode of the TV series.


• The “lucky-lewdness” moment must involve excessive physical contact or the characters viewing one another in a state of undress (panty-shots are included).


• 3rd person fan service scenes (i.e. shower scenes where only the camera is a witness) do not count.


• Scenes in the opening and ending sequences of the episode do not count.


• Although OP / ED scenes don’t count as “lucky-lewdness” moments, their runtime DOES count toward the total time from start to “lucky-lewdness”.

The rankings are chosen based on the time when the anime begins to when the “lucky pervert” scene occurs. Here are the Top 20:

High School DXD is #1 and #2?! Who could have seen that one coming?! Though it is a bit of an upset on the part of To Love-Ru as it only placed 6th. The series is known for having its main character as the “King of the Lucky Perverts”, but it is obvious that when it comes to ecchi and fanservice, High School DXD is a bit faster as they start their lucky pervert scene right off the bat! But then again, who could compete with Rito and Issei?! The two heroes seem to be at the receiving end of these lucky pervert moments than anyone on the list.
