We’re already a third of the way through the Winter 2016 anime season, and clearly, there are some anime which stood out, and some which are destined to be quite forgettable. There are many series which people have already dropped, while there are some which viewers will watch until the end.
For this week’s Charapedia poll, the Japanese anime character database asked 10,000 fans (51.1% male, 48.9% female) which Winter 2016 anime do they want to continue watching the most. Of the 45 entries in the poll, only the Top 20 were announced, and they are:
20 – Haruchika- Haruta and Chika
19 – Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle
18 – Ooya-san wa Shinsuki!
17 – Sekkou Boys
16 – Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
15 – Active Raid
14 – Norn9: Norn+Nonet
13 – Dimension W
12 – Nijiiro Days
11 – Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
10 – Snow White With the Red Hair Season 2
9 – Myriad Colors Phantom World
8 – Prince of Stride Alternative
7 – GATE season 2
6 – AJIN: Demi-Human
5 – Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!
4 – Assassination Classroom Season 2
3 – Dagashi Kashi
2 – Durarara!! X2 Ketsu
1 – ERASED
The series considered by many as the most talked about anime this season takes the #1 spot, and not many are surprised as the anime often leaves you at the edges of your seats, and makes you wanting more. The anime’s pacing is just simply brilliant, and makes you excited to see what happens next. This is one thriller that certainly deserves the top spot.
While ERASED is one of those anime which came out of nowhere and exceeded expectations, the others in the Top 4 have already been expected by many to be quite successful this season, and that includes Durarara!! and Assassination Classroom, both of which are returning for new seasons, as well as Dagashi kashi, which came into this season with much hype.
However, the biggest surprise of these rankings has to be the fact that Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! has taken the #5 spot, beating out favorites like GATE, Snow White with the Red Hair, and KyoAni’s Myriad Colors Phantom World.
