With titles like Clannad, Kanon, and Angel Beats!, Key/Visual Arts has been known for some very tear-inducing titles, and now, their latest work to get an anime adaptation, Rewrite, will be premiering this October. A new key visual for this latest Key/ Visual Arts anime has also been revealed.
It was also revealed that the anime will be premiering on 2 July 2016, and it will premiere with a 1-hour special episode. However, that premiere episode will also be screened ahead of its premiere this 25 June, during a special event which will also be screened via Niconico.
Rewrite is based on Visual Arts/ Key’s visual novel of the same name, and is slated to premiere next season, during summer 2016. The new anime hopes to replicate the success of its predecessors like Clannad, AIR, Kanon, and Little Busters!, and since this is Key we are talking about, prepare some tissues because you may be crying by the end… a lot.
The Fruit of Grisaia director, Tensho, is directing the anime, with 8-bit producing the animation.
