Macross Delta dominates the Newtype Rankings for July 2016

A scan from the July 2016 edition of Newtype Magazine has been revealed, and it contains the results from the latest Newtype Rankings, and it shows one certain mecha anime series dominating it, and no folks, it ain’t Gundam SEED (Sorry Kira and Lachus).

Male Rankings:

While Macross Delta dominated the rankings, two entries for the male rankings, FOUR entries for the female rankings, and utterly dominating the Anime series rankings by taking first place, a certain somebody from another Macross series crept up and did a Kira Yamato on the rankings, with Macross Frontier’s Sheryl Nome returning to take 8th place.

As expected, Fate and Sword Art Online did pretty well again, but weren’t as dominant as they were in the past rankings. New series like Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and KumaMiko: Girl Meets Bear, as well as Bungou Stray Dogs, have also done well.

Meanwhile, Kira Yamato is still nowhere to be seen, but fret not folks, he’ll be back… he always does.
