Back in 2014, Pikachu have invaded the city of Yokohama, and filled its streets with the color yellow. Last year, they invaded again, and for this year, they are coming back for another round of the immensely popular “Pikachu Outbreak” event.
Just like last year, there will be dancing Pikachus all over the city, and they will once again be marching in a special parade, as well as decorating some of the city’s landmarks. There will be programs, and this year will come with a theme centered on “dancing.”
But what makes this event a little bit different from the last two years will be the addition of a splash show called the “Dripping Wet Splash Show”, which is all too perfect for an event being done under the hot summer sun.
Thousands of Pikachu are expected to “invade” the city for the Pikachu Outbreak event, which will be held from 7 – 14 August 2016.
