The leaked image for the new Blue Exorcist anime has turned out to be true! The official website‘s countdown has finally reached zero, and it has revealed a new PV for the upcoming second season, which is called “Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujou Ou-hen” or Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc.
The website also revealed the anime’s new key visual, which was the same one featured in the leaked image.
The website also confirmed that A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, The iDOLM@STER) will once again be animating the series, with Koichi Hatsumi taking over for previous director, Tensai Okamura. As mentioned in the leak, as well as the anime’s title, the new season will be following the Kyoto Impure King Arc. No exact release date has been confirmed so far, but Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc is scheduled for release in 2017.
