One Week Friends has gone down as one of the best anime for the year 2014, and now, new still images from the live-action film adaptation have also been revealed, and it features the two lead actors, Haruna Kawaguchi, who plays Kaori Fujimiya, and Kento Yamazaki, who plays Yuuki Hase.
Much like the very-successful 2014 TV anime, the film will be based on Matcha Hazuki’s bestselling mangaYuuki Hase, who befriends an amnesiac girl named Kaori Fujimiya. Kaori has her memories reset every Monday, so their friendship also reset every Monday, which results to Kaori meeting Yuuki for the first time every Monday.
Barefoot Gen director, Shōsuke Murakami, is directing the film, which is slated to premiere in Japan on February 18, 2017.
