We recently the honor to talk to the man himself, and this is what he had to say to us:

You have wrestled many greats. Who among your former opponents was the one that you had the most memorable match with? Why?

There are few memorable matches that I have had. They were with Mark Rocco, Chris Benoit as well as Eddie Gurrero, Dean Malenko and Dave Finlay.

You have one of the most storied careers in all of wrestling, looking back, what were your your favorite events in your career?

It was when I went to Mexico for training. The wrestling rules and styles are completely different and I was taken aback in the beginning.

One of your greatest and most memorable rivalries was with Chris Benoit, and Hollywood is making a movie out of his life. If they were casting your character, who would you want to play? What are your thoughts on Benoit’s life getting a movie?

If I could be in the movie, I’d love to be myself.

You have wrestled almost everywhere by now? Where was the most memorable place you’ve ever wrestled? What was the weirdest? What would you think would make Singapore different?

I’ve been to many places but Banff National Park in Canada left the strongest impression because it was so breathtaking. Singapore is also very beautiful.

NJPW has been making incursions in Singapore lately, and do you think they would expand to other countries in South East Asia?

I’m not sure if there are any plans but Ipersonally want to try going to other Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam or Thailand.

You’re already in your 50’s, do you still think that you can still wrestle for another 5 years? Have all these decades of wrestling taken their toll?

As expected, I don’t think I can actually.

Any words to your fans in Singapore?

Singapore is really beautiful and there are so many kind and friendly people. It is really an honour for me to be able to have a match in Singapore. I really look forward to meeting everyone so see you guys in November!

That’s from the man himself, catch him as he thrills audiences liveat at Hall B of Sands Expo and Convention Centre on 15th November. But always remember, DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!
