After saving Earth from destruction, the Yamato is going back in action for the upcoming 7-part follow-up to the space epic known as Space Battleship Yamato 2199, Space Battleship Yamato 2202. And now, a brand new PV teases a brand new conflict, as Earth braces to face a new threat called the Comet Empire.
The first part will be having a 2-week limited run in several Japanese theaters starting February 25, 2017. The story will be set a few years after the events of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, with characters like Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori returning.
Its release would be very much like the release of Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which usually got a theatrical release first, and then would be released in home video a few weeks later.
