Re:Zero’s Rem seems to be 2016’s most popular new character for Japanese animation, and two of Tokyo’s most well-known areas are throwing birthday events in her honor during February!
Rem, the more popular half of the demon maid twins, is actually born on February 2, and she will be having official birthday celebrations at Gamers Akihabara, as well as Shibuya Marui department store’s 8th floor.

Several exclusive Rem birthday merchandise will also be sold, and they vary from every location. This means that there are some items that are exclusive to her Akihabara location, and there will also be items exclusive to Shibuya. The Shibuya Marui event will be held from February 1 to 27, 2017, while the Gamers Akihabara event will be held from February 1 to 28, 2017.
But wait, aren’t we forgetting someone who is also celebrating her birthday alongside Rem? You know, the other half of the demon twins, Ram? I guess Rem is getting all the love for their birthday…
